PROJECT BRIEF
The project brief outlined the creation of a zine dedicated to contemporary ballet, with a modern aesthetic at its core. Designed to showcase the essence of contemporary ballet, the zine featured a curated collection of photo series from the American Contemporary Ballet Company. articles, and "snapshot" sections of photography.
PROCESS
The design process for this project began with thorough research into contemporary ballet aesthetics, focusing on capturing its essence visually. Utilizing Adobe Photoshop, photographs were artistically manipulated emphasizing contrast and dynamics while maintaining a cohesive black and white aesthetic punctuated by a single accent color. These edited images formed the visual identity of the zine, which was then laid out and designed in Adobe InDesign. Each page layout was crafted to enhance the storytelling aspect of the photo series, ensuring a seamless and engaging narrative flow throughout the zine.
